I made quite a few, shall I say too many, Amazon purchases in 2018.
2-day shipping and an endless inventory of products are just a couple of the many reasons why I love Amazon.
In this post, I’ll highlight the Amazon purchases that most positively impacted my travel in the past year.
Amazon Purchases
EAS Whey Protein – Whey protein powder is a game-changer on the road by ensuring that I have easy access to protein.
Legion Whey+ Protein – The more boujee version of EAS from a brand focused more on natural ingredients.
Aveeno Shaving Cream – I haven’t found a travel size version but Aveeno makes the best shaving cream in the game.
Wigwam Merino Wool Socks – These socks were perfect for walking around Park City last year after we skied.
ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxers – Buy 7 pairs and thank me later. The best boxers I’ve ever owned.
AmazonBasics Writing Pads – These are great for writing down to-do lists and notes while I’m traveling.
Maruman Notebook – Kevin Rose turned me on to these and after using them, I’ll never buy a different notebook.
Marpac Sound Machine – My buddy, who has young kids, said this is the best portable machine out there and he wasn’t kidding.
Coppertone Sunscreen – Wirecutter has a helpful article on sunscreen and after reading that article, this became my go-to screen when I’m out playing golf.
Ursa Major Face Tonic – I have no idea what face tonic is but it was recommended by The Essential Man blog and works well.
Ursa Major Face Wash – Self explanatory here but this product is one that I used twice a day.
Steagle Webcam Cover – I previously used tape to cover my webcam so this is a “slight” upgrade that I really like.
Repel Travel Umbrella – I’ve broken my fair share of umbrellas but this one appears to be indestructible.
Credit Cards To Use
If I’m not meeting a credit card minimum spend, I use a card that will at least earn 1.5x points on Amazon purchases.
With that said, the Chase Freedom Unlimited is my favorite personal card to use for Amazon purchases. The card is great for two reasons.
The first is because it earns 1.5x Chase points per transaction. The second reason is because you can transfer the points directly to Chase’s airline or hotel partners a free flight or hotel.
On the business credit card side, you can’t go wrong with the Amex Blue Business Plus (Learn More Here). The Blue Business Plus earns an incredible 2x Amex points per transaction.
Whatever you do, remember that earning transferable points will go a long way towards your next redemption!
