Airline credit cards, like the card_name, are a double-edged sword. Some airline credit cards can offer value by unlocking card benefits from spending on the card or by offering elite status by being a card member. However, airline credit cards earn miles or points within their own airline loyalty program. This means you can’t transfer airline points or miles out of the airline program and must redeem the points or miles within the program reducing their value.
The Aeroplan Credit Card is vastly different than many competing airline credit cards. It’s clear Aeroplan was thoughtful when the airline launched this card. Not only does the card offer value in terms of the card benefits but the card also incentivizes spending on the card to unlock additional benefits.
