Capital One clearly was tired of waiting on the sidelines to play with the big boys and decided now is the time to make major updates to its credit card program. Starting October 7, 2021, most Capital One Transfer Partners now have a 1:1 ratio. This means your Capital One Miles convert from 1 Capital One Mile into 1 airline mile or hotel point. With this update, you can say Capital One has clearly joined the big leagues of credit card programs.
Capital One has 17 transfer partners, 3 of which are hotel partners. Of these partners, this update is most impactful for miles transfers to Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France KLM Flying Blue, British Airways Avios, Emirates Skywards, Singapore KrisFlyer, and Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles. These are airline programs that have value that we can all get excited about.

Best Capital One Cards
There are not a ton of cards offered by Capital One so that makes it fairly easy to hone in on a card that’s right for you. Generally speaking, the Capital One Venture, Capital One VentureOne, Capital One Spark Miles for Business, and Capital One Spark Miles Select for Business are some of the best Capital One Cards.
Capital One Venture and Capital One Spark Miles for Business earn 2x miles (points) on every purchase. Capital One VentureOne cardmembers earn 1.25x miles (points) on every purchase. You earn 1.5x miles (points) on every purchase with the Capital One Spark Miles Select for Business. So, this major Capital One update means you’re effectively earning 1.25-2x airline miles and hotel points with every purchase. Boom!
